Students at h_da have used machine learning methods to create a prediction model to predict the acceptance of a donor kidney for a kidney transplant. Under the expert advice of Dr. Axel Rahmel and Dr. Karl-Ludwig Fischer-Fröhlich (DSO), students on the Data Science course led by Professors Antje Jahn and Gunter Grieser (h_da) have been working on the question of predicting the acceptance of a donor kidney for a kidney transplant. To this end, relevant information was extracted from the DSO donor data and prediction models were created using various machine learning methods. In addition, an interactive application was developed to visualize the forecasts and explorative data analyses of the donor data. In the next step, this will be evaluated by DSO experts using case studies.
