The Data Science degree program combines computer science, applied mathematics and modern data analysis and thus the principles of artificial intelligence. This opens up excellent career opportunities in data-intensive professional fields such as IT, industry, healthcare and marketing, as well as numerous other sectors. Practical content, state-of-the-art technologies and dedicated teaching staff ensure that you are optimally prepared for a successful career in the field of data science right from the start.

AI engineer:
- Analysis of machine data to identify maintenance requirements and efficiency potential at an early stage (predictive maintenance)
- Use of statistical methods and AI to monitor and continuously improve production quality
- Linking sensor data from devices and systems and developing data-based control models for intelligent production systems
Research
Research Data Scientist:
- Development of new methods of data analysis, research on AI processes and collaboration on scientific publications and research projects
- Application of data science methods to physical, biological or technical research questions, often in interdisciplinary teams
- Investigating complex questions on neural networks, machine learning and ethical AI and developing prototypes for innovative applications
Consulting

In the standard study program, the 5th semester was designated as a potential semester abroad (window of mobility).
- Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da) is one of 9 European universities of the European University of Technology (EUT+). As this university network grows together, there are more and more opportunities for uncomplicated exchanges.
- In addition, the Erasmus+ program of the European Union encourages students to study in another European country.
- There are over 250 partner universities worldwide at which students can study as part of the h_da Exchange Program from the 3rd semester onwards.
- In preparation, the Language Center offers numerous language courses at different levels.
- The International Office offers more support in preparing for an exchange.
What documents are required?
Applications are submitted via the application process at h_da. Please note that all necessary documents must be submitted with your application. Preparing these takes time. You should therefore start at least four weeks before the application deadline.
