Applied Mathematics B.Sc. and M.Sc.
The 6-semester Bachelor's degree course in Applied Mathematics offers a practice-oriented university education with specialization options in the fields of business mathematics and technomathematics. Among other things, it lays the foundation for the consecutive Master's degree courses in Applied Mathematics and Data Science and can also be studied on a dual basis.
Enrolment on the Bachelor's degree course is possible for the last time in the summer semester 2026.
The 4-semester Master's degree course in Applied Mathematics covers the modern application fields of mathematics in the areas of finance, insurance, operations research and stochastics as well as technomathematics. The dual study program variant has also been offered since summer semester 2023.

Computational Mathematics B.Sc.
Algorithms, equations and simulations become tools for innovation and transformation in the 6-semester Bachelor's degree course in Computational Mathematics. This course brings logic to life - as the language of complex systems and as a bridge between theory and application - from industrial production to medical technology.

Data Science and Artificial Intelligence B.Sc.
The 6-semester Bachelor's degree course in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is offered jointly with the Department of Computer Science and starts for the first time in the winter semester 2026/27.
Contents are the interaction of modern data analysis, applied mathematics and computer science. In addition to these technologies, communicative strengths, ethical sensitivity and strategic thinking are also trained. This makes you a bridge builder between man and machine.

Data Science M.Sc.
The interdisciplinary Master's degree course in Data Science is offered jointly with the Department of Computer Science and is aimed at prospective students from the fields of computer science, mathematics and related areas who wish to specialize in the exciting field of "Data Science". The course can also be studied on a dual basis.

Photonics and Machine Vision B.Sc. and M.Sc.
This 7-semester Bachelor's degree course in Photonics and Machine Vision (OBV) is a unique, practice-oriented course that combines optotechnology and image processing in equal parts and can also be studied on a dual basis. The course forms the basis for the consecutive Master's degree course in Photonics and Machine Vision.
OBV is the only Master's course of its kind in Germany and offers graduates outstanding career prospects in the growing field of optical technologies. The Master's course is designed for 3 semesters. Since the summer semester 2023, the dual study program variant has also been offered.
