The department offers two bachelor's degree programs, Applied Mathematics and Photonics and Machine Vision (Optotechnik und Bildverarbeitung OBV), leading to the B.Sc. degree.
Applied Mathematics B.Sc.
The 6-semester program offers a practice-oriented university education with specialization options in the fields of business mathematics and technomathematics. Among other things, it lays the foundation for the consecutive master's degree programs in Applied Mathematics and Data Science and can also be studied dual.
Photonics and Machine Vision B.Sc.
This 7-semester study program is a unique, practice-oriented offer in Europe, which combines optotechnology with image processing in equal parts and can also be studied dual. The course is the basis for the consecutive Master's program in Photonis and Machine Vision.
The department currently offers the two Master's programs Applied Mathematics and Photonics and Machine Vision (OBV) with the degree of M.Sc. In addition, the M.Sc. degree program in Data Science is offered jointly with the Department of Computer Science.
Applied Mathematics M.Sc.
The 4-semester Master's program in Applied Mathematics covers the modern application fields of mathematics in the areas of finance, insurance, operations research and stochastics, as well as technomathematics. Since the summer semester 2023, the dual study program variant has also been offered.
Data Science M.Sc.
