Alumni reunion of mathematics majors

After a long break, the department invited alumni of the mathematics programs to an entertaining, informative and, above all, sociable afternoon and evening.

The guest speaker was Dr. Kai Kopperschmidt from NielsenIQ, who spoke about "Data Science in Practice". This was followed by two presentations by graduates: First, Franz Knizia, B.Sc. presented "Mathematical Models for the Physiology of the Kidney." He was followed by Thi Ngoc Diep Tran, M.Sc. with "Numerical study of crack propagation in particle-reinforced composites."

The event concluded with a snack and social gathering.
